Молекулярното тестване като диагностичен метод намалява времето за откриване на M.tuberculosis complex при съмнение за туберкулоза

В неотдавна публикуваната в JAMA Intern Med. статия на Lelia H. Chaisson, David Duong, Adithya Cattamanchi, et al.: „Association of Rapid Molecular Testing With Duration of Respiratory Isolation for Patients With Possible Tuberculosis in a US Hospital” бяха представени първите публикувани данни за реалния ефект от използването на молекулярните тестове за откриване на M. tuberculosis complex при пациенти със съмнение за активна туберкулоза (ТВ).

ВАКСИНОПРЕДОТВРАТИМИ ИНФЕКЦИИ

Молекулярно - генетична диагностика на коклюш и паракоклюш

През последните години в световен мащаб се наблюдава увеличаване на случаите на коклюш. Тежки и фатални случаи на заболяването се наблюдават при новородени и кърмачета, особено под 3-месечна възраст. Клиничните симптоми при инфекция с коклюш (причинител Bordetella pertussis) са пароксизмален (пристъпен) характер на кашлицата, инспираторен реприз, повръщане непосредствено след кашличния пристъп, повишаване честотата на кашличните пристъпи през нощта.

Необичайно висок брой на инфекции с вируса на Западния Нил в Европа през тази година

През 2018г., към 31 август, са регистрирани 975 потвърдени и вероятни автохтонни случая на ЗНТ на територията на Европа, това е 3.4-кратно завишение спрямо броя случаи през миналия сезон.
